Researcher's note: The Longs of Rabun County GA are descendants of Peter Long Sr. of Macon NC through his sons Henry G. Long and James R. Long

Also note James R. Long was a JP for many marriages in the 1840s & George W. Long was a JP for many marriages in the 1860s

1844 Deed Book C, p. 171 (transferred to Book Q, p. 603) Deed dated 2 Jan. 1844, recorded 9 Nov. 1844, from J. P. Long, Rabun Co., GA, and Henry Long, Haywood Co., NC, to John Kelly, Rabun Co., GA, conveyed Lots 9 and 10, containing 1½ acres, in Town of Clayton, for $600. Witnesses: James Bleckley and Wm. Sharyer, J.I.C. Signed James R. Long and Henry Long
