Birth records of Charlie R. and Ruth C. Hunnicutt Long's children show
that they moved from Haywood County, North Carolina to Lumpkin County,
Georgia sometime between 1837 and 1839. They subsequently moved to
Winston County, Alabama between 1851 and 1858. Tamelia E. Long was the
last child born to Charles R. and Rutha Long. She was born in Winston
County, Alabama which indicates that the family moved from Lumpkin
County, Georgia sometimes between Charles T. Long's birth on July 20,
1851 and March 29, 1858 when Tamelia E. Long was born. Charlie R. Long
would have been 42 to 49 years old at that time.

The burial site for Charlie R. Long and Rutha Catherine Hunnicutt Long
was discovered in a book, " Early Churches of Alabama." They are buried
at the New Prospect Baptist Cemetery in Haleyville, Winston County,
AL. The cemetery is located on Highway 195 about 4 mile South of
Haleyville, AL.
