1833 - October - Loose Records William Lane departed this life in Dec 1823 intestate. He left a widow, Frances, and children: Robert, Thomas, William, John, Reuben, Benjamin Lane and Nancy who married Josiah Hogan. Thomas Lane was appointed Admr. of the estate in Jan. 1833. Said William owned 3 slaves which cannot be divided between the many heirs. Admr. want to sell slaves for a division. Said William also owned a tract of land on the waters of Big Harpeth adjoihning the lands of Eleazer Hardeman, Peter Burton, John Buchanan and John W. Crunk and containing 150 acres.
